-   Supervision of execution for the different activities (architectural, electrical, mechanical and HVAC, sanitary works, road and infrastructure external networks, landscaping in addition to supervision of finishes & interior furnishings.

-   Review of contractor shop drawings & follow up of work progress and adherence time schedules and submission of monthly reports.

-   Review of interim monthly payments and final payment.

-   Participation at provisional and final acceptance for the project with both the owner and the hotel management representatives.

Project Description

A five stars hotel is constructed over a high hill overlooking the beach of Naema Bay; it is designed to be a main resort center and one of the most beautiful hotels in the area. The total area of the project is around (250) fed. & is composed of :

-  The main building with a total area of (10 500) sq. m.  Containing the entrance, restaurants, bars, health club, lounges, in addition to services and banquet rooms.

-   Guest rooms: around (220) guest rooms in addition to (40) villas. The rooms and villas enjoy privacy and a magnificent view overlooking the sea.

-   The site is designed to include swimming pools, tennis courts, children playgrounds, gardens, water falls, water activities and landscaping with irrigation network in addition to staff accommodations, other services and parking.

Preparation of preliminary and final reports, master plans, study and review of current status and potentials of the area in collaboration with "Aricon Consultants".

Project Description

The study of tourism potentials of the gulf area from Taba to Sharm El-Sheikh was divided into three phases:

PHASE ONE, Part 1 Study of the natural, economic, human, and touristic potentials of the area, this part included:

a)  The environmental and ecological studies among which were studies of the site, its topography, geological and geomorphologic aspects, study of pollution, its degree and causalities,

b)  The social studies including demographics, current and projected population, current educational, managerial, and health services,

c)  The economic studies, including potentials of agricultural and irrigation development, industrial and mining capabilities, tourism development potentials, transport and port facilities;

d)  Current infrastructure of the area, namely water sources and distribution, wastewater projects, reuse and treatment of wastewater, energy generation & distribution, and transportation.

Part 2: Tourism potentials - the current status, this part included collection and review of data available on the present touristic sites its tourism available services, current and projected tourism demand, the proposed projects for tourism in the area, the future development possibilities and investment regulations and laws prevailing in the area.

Part 3: Tourism development plan,  based on part 1 and 2, this part included:

a)  Tourism development objectives, strategies and parameters;

b)  The proposed alternatives for sites and their priorities;

c)  The proposed urban development concept, the required manpower and services; 

d)  The expected output from tourism development.

PHASE TWO, Detailed structural planning for Taba area, this part included:

Scope

Preparation of inception, interim and final repots.  Preparation of physical development plans.  Study of institutional and financial mechanisms.

Project Description

The objective of the study is to determine the potential projects for tourism development in the identified areas.  These projects vary between development of new areas and touristic location on one hand and upgrading/improvement of existing cities/ locations on the other hand.  The study is conducted in three phases:  the first one is to identify a list of suitable sites for resort development based on resource endowment in accordance with demands of the tourist market and investment criteria. The second phase includes the evaluation of the sites selected in the first phase based on their attractiveness to tourists, ease of access, availability of water, electricity and other services. It also include economic analysis for the different project alternatives.

The third and final phase is to select a priority action plan ranking the projects identified in the previous phases by ascending order, and finally to develop the physical development plans for each site selected which includes lay out plans proposals for land use, construction codes and development standards, total settlement patterns as well as distribution of uses and facilities, urban design, building design, alignment, sizing and junctions of all principal roads as well as internal circulation, sewage treatment plant, wastewater treatment plant, irrigation system, electricity sub-station/generator and so forth.  The study includes as well, identification of institutional and financial mechanisms for a smooth administration of the project.

Identification of prospective investors in tourism and prospective financing agencies is also a part of the study.

Preparation of the detailed and shop drawings for the following activities:-

·  Earthquake comprising existing and final finished ground level contours as well as excavation and backfilling contour maps. If also includes quantity surveying of the relevant excavation and backfilling quantities as well as development of the most suitable method statement for sequence of execution on site.

·  Utilities comprising pipelines profiles for “water supply, irrigation and sewage” along with the relevant ground and pipe invert levels as well location of wash out, air valves, solenoid valves, fire hydrants, bends, special connecting pieces,…etc. It also includes plans, details and necessary illustrative sections for electrical networks “road, lighting, telecommunication, medium and low voltage”

·  The boundary stone fence comprising final finished ground levels, details, modulus and pattern of fence blocks.

In addition to the above, the consultant offers periodical site visits during execution period to co-ordinate between the owner and the client and to serve all site problems.

Project Description

The Mirage Golf Course is an 18 hole championship course to international standards and includes training facilities. The work comprises the detailed setting out, earthworks, construction of pits and mounds, surface water drainage works, sub-surface shaping works, construction of lakes, streams, and waterfalls. Rock-walls, gabions with all related all related lining and testing. The installation of pumps pipes valves, manholes and all related civil, mechanical and electrical works with all specified testing.

The Mirage City incorporates “120” villas and club house with the corresponding internal access roads as well as the relevant civil and electromechanical utilities.
